Plagiarism
Many students here are a victim of plagiarism. On a smaller scale they copy day to day assignments and on a larger scale, they copy projects and presentations. A lot of students who actually bother working on their projects and assignments themselves, get the shorter end of the stick as those who copy already know what is lacking and have most of the content and material available to them. The teachers should devise some system whereby authentication and ingenuity can be identified and thus credited. How do we raise our voice against such unfairness?
Library Issues
We are turned out of the libraries whenever there is some class has to be conducted. Due to this we have to abandon all our work and suffer due to them. The computers are faulty and most of the time there is no internet connection. We need a proper library where we do not have to forsake our work due to others. There is another problem of the issuing of the books. the librarians do not allow to take more than one book at a time and even that has to be returned in a day. What is one supposed to do if they need it for a longer time period and it isn't available elsewhere?

Rossoneries are the new champions!!
The final of LSE Football League was held on the 3rd of December,2009 at the LSE football field. Also a match was played for the third and the fourth position which was between "Nukes" and "Cannibals" in which the "Nukes" beat the "Cannibals" (2-1) and secured the 3rd position. The final match was played between "Spartans" and "Rossenori",an interesting 90 minutes run in which the Rossenories clean sweeped the Spartans, ending with a magnificent final score of 3-0. Two glorious goals were scored my Ali Mustafa and one clean input by Burhan Ibrahim despite the wonderful defence of the Spartans defenders Zubair Saleem,Mark and Steve. The winner's trophy was picked up by the Rossenories captain Awais Ibrahim and the runner's up shield was recieved by the Spartans captain Zubair Saleem.

Diverse Grading Criteria
In my opinion LSE suffers from diverse teaching techniques and grading criterias of the same subject. One instructor of the same course sets post mid syllabus while the other compells that she wants her class to rote learn the entire book. One sets an A on 85% while the other believes in relative grading. Most of the students feel cheated when they get to know that their peers from other sections are getting better grades just because their instructor is more flexible. How would you suggest that improvement can be brought about in these methods? Is notifying Dr. Shahid enough? If not, then what other measures should be taken?

Shorter Duration Time Slots
Earlier our single slot was of 2 hours and 20 mints, then it was reduced to 2 hours and now it is of 1 hour and 45 mints. The reduced timings make the lectures considerably more endurable but we rarely get any break now. Is 'not' getting a break between such a lengthy lecture, worth the reduced timings?

Security Measures
Taking into account the current situation prevelant in Pakistan and especially in Lahore and the excessive threats recieved by different educational institutions,do you think that the security measures taken in the Lahore School of Economics are satisfactory or faulty? Do you actually feel safe coming to school?
